My previous thread didn’t seem to find much traction, and the “older” threads on the topic all seem a bit too old.

I have a business in startup phase. Company registered, detailed business plan done, with research backed financial projections. We have a solid USP, the logistics system worked out, and all the licensing and IP agreements in place. It’s literally a turnkey operation at this point, but we need to raise capital (+-R550k) to purchase initial stock and carry the overhead for the first couple of months.

Banks have been a dead end. Obviously I don’t have collateral or affordability to raise this via personal lending, which would have been first prize.

Startup incubators etc that we have approached all seem to only really pay attention with investments upwards of R2mil, and most seem to be geared towards fintech and AI projects. Venture Capital/Angel Investing seems to have totally died out in the SA market.

I looked at https://www.investmentnetwork.co.za but this seems to be a typical online marketing funnel type of business, and I’m uncomfortable spending money up front on this platform, because it’s one where you need to pay upfront before you get to see any real info about potential investors. But if someone maybe has first hand experience with them, I would be willing to give that a try.

But, I would love to hear any other suggestions or options of who to reach out to?

Have you tried asking the same place twice?
Replied in the other thread.

We upped the scale, and pretty much immediately got fully funded for 4 times what we were initially asking for… which is overall great, but does come with a few additional hurdles, and a bit more red tape. But I’m pretty happy overall.
