It seems lately every single program i install want's to be part of win startup... Why is this? This has significantly slowed down my PC when starting up, regardless of the CPU speed... I use Scotty win patrol which is always watching every single soft trying to access startup menu, which always for my permission... I wonder if saying no would cause any problems to app installation...

what do you use?

ja - I find that loading Windows after the machine posts make it incredibly slow

Dont need progs like 'tuneup untilites' - you can do this all yourself.

Programs like tuneup do equate to bloatware,

Use msconfig and making sure you goto each programs settings and unticking the 'startup' option.

Just make sure that the programs you remove from your startup are not MS apps.

Remove that MSOffice junkware which startups after installing Office.
That slows the PC down a lot. Also you can disable a lot of services,
especially Network Discovery ones (or similar) if you're not connecting
to a network. Makes PC start-up much faster. Download
and run BootVis too from the MS website.
