Starved for proper RTS

IMO, the last good traditional RTS to be released was C&C3. Really miss the days of Command and Conquer.

Canceled last year already because it was **** and EA thought that implementing micro-transactions were important in an alpha.

Did any of you play WarCraft 2 online? That was fun because you could only mass. There is nothing better than watching Ogre's wearing boxing gloves moer the *** out of knights.

There is a community still alive and kicking for Warcraft 2 online play.

It appears to be offline at the moment, check back regularly because it has a decent number of people playing. They're very very good, but if you love Warcraft 2 and want to play it online again, look no further

As for the original poster, why not have a look at LOTR: Battle for Middle-Earth 1 & 2. There is a community that made a new online server for both games. BFME 1 is already active and they're implementing the online functionality for BFME2 and it's expansion, Rise of the Witch King this month.

I've played all of them, but I tend to get bored with multiplayer.

Ideally I'm looking for an awesome RTS with an awesome single player campaign.
