State capture inquiry begins

Yeah , the chap representing him today was trying to be clever.
lawyer is still talking after 15 minutes and now it will be tea time. And I think Justice is frustrated as he has called tea time and private consultation in his chambers.

On our expense... jolly lekker nogal...
Yeah, I am not getting this. I am sure most of us usually work at least 8+ hours and company's working estimate is 7 hours per person to include tea, lunch etc.

These guys are sitting from 10 to 4 and then 2 tea breaks and 1 hour lunch time making it less than 4.5 hours a day. This is getting ridiculous.

Something gotta break, and soon. Can't go on like that.

Filthy Zuptoid.

Magashule at state capture commission to show support for Zuma

ANC secretary-general Ace Magashule "partly knows" what former president Jacob Zuma is talking about when he accused the state capture commission of targeting him.

Zuma, who is taking the stand for the second day on Tuesday, told the commission on Monday that he believed it was set up as part of a long-term strategy to assassinate his character.

He mentioned a long history, spanning 20 years, which he said further showed that there has always been a target on his back.

Zuma also questioned how the former public protector Thuli Madonsela took away his presidential powers when, in her State of Capture report, directed the chief justice to appoint a judge to head the commission.

Speaking on the sidelines of the commission on Tuesday, Magashule - who arrived with an ANC entourage including MK Military Veterans Association spokesperson Carl Niehaus and ANC spokesperson Dakota Legoete - said that he shared the same sentiments as Zuma.

How surprising, one thief jumping to the defense of another. When's his turn to be summoned?
BREAKING: ANC secretary general Ace Magashule says Zuma's spy claims are serious and that the ANC must investigate them.

During a tea break, Magashule said that Zuma informed the ANC on Friday that he will say things the party won’t be happy about when he testifies at the judicial commission of inquiry. Magashule says the party will make a collective decision about the claims because “they are serious”.

My concern is this, even though anyone can see that Zuma used his position to influence things, what if he was so good in utilizing his ministers and juniors to do all his dirty work for him, would we accept that he is the one that got away if we get all those who actually did things on his behalf? Looking at the specific Maseko's case it is clear that Chabane is the one who redeployed Maseko but he is not here to answer for himself.

Koloane flatly refused to implicate Zuma, Maseko has implicated him but Chabane is not here to either fall on his sword for doing Zuma's dirty work or to implicate Zuma. Is it me or is this starting to look like series of "so near yet so far" incidents?

All part of the narrative they have/trying to spin since yesterday... delegitimize/discredited the commission...opening salvo from JZ -: State Capture - be definition State = three branches of government - why is it only the executive that is being investigated....? he makes a valid legal argument. Fast forward to foot soldier, Charl's open letter to the commission : again pushing the narrative that the judiciary has /is compromised...how can it be a fair adjudicator..?next up was the post day address to supporters...all his ilk, singing from the same narrative hymn....discredit the commission, try to invoke sympathy for the old man... His slippy as **** but we all know that...trying to use legal technicalities to not answer the damn questions. I want my day in court ... recall that mantra of his? Delay, delay , delay...and the commission treats him with soft gloves, because of the political balancing act it has to tread.

I would be ok with catching everyone else, and Zuma dying by choking on whatever is stuck in his throat...

I agree - zuma has been clever enough to put many people between him and others. It is his word against theirs and couple of them are dead already. Only positive take from this about Zupta could be if they recommend NPA to prosecute them. Only NPA can follow the money trail etc - there has to be something.
