Or maybe this is more appropriate.

we're closing in on the 1 year anniversary of this thread ... who wants to bet against not a single soul even being charged by then?

I was thinking criminal prosecutions and sentencing would be underway by December but I’m beginning to think that’s unlikely. At the rate they going I’m wondering if Zuma will die of natural causes before they get him to criminal sentencing.

Cases were dropped, staff moved during McBride's suspension, Zondo hears

Johannesburg - Former Ipid head Robert McBride has told the Zondo commission how Ipid’s performance decreased drastically in the months when he was suspended, with cases being closed and people being transferred between provinces.

Tom Moyane and Dali Mpofu got another hiding - their bid to cross-examine Gordhan has been declined.

Looks like their lack of substance has caught up with them.

+1
In March, Moyane's lawyer, Dali Mpofu, in arguing for leave to cross-examine Gordhan, alleged that the minister was racist towards Moyane and referred to a phone call in which Gordhan allegedly told Moyane to “grow up”.

Mpofu argued that this amounts to racism, because it implies that Moyane is a “boy”. He claimed Gordhan's affidavit was “more significant for what it omits than what it says”.

What a complete buffoon. How he ever got to run SARS is a travesty. The man is so pathetic it beggars belief that he ever deserved the spot he was in.

Isn't he still running correctional services? So if he ever gets convicted, he'll just end up in a cell with a faulty lock

I think he is corrupt and not a buffoon, although someone who is corrupt can look like a buffoon at times, he got into the position more qualified than Pravin was at the time he was running SARS.

I wonder what the eventual outcome of this commission will be. There is just so much to go through. Is anyone keeping track of it and preparing who to start investigating and charging? I know its going to drag out for years to come though.
