State capture inquiry begins

I'm surprised there is not legal requirement for the president and his ministers or other people to keep a decision register or something of the sort which must be archived securely even after they leave office. Zuma is able to get away with crap because he conducted most of his corrupt dealings in person or on the phone with no traceable records

That seems to be the case. However, my one main hope is that there is a tried and tested source of evidence accepted by the courts before - witness testimony.

If Zondo finds all the prosecution witnesses to be credible, then their testimony will stand. What will also shoot Zuma in the foot is that he doesn't refute what they are saying - just that he doesn't know/can't recall/has no knowledge.

Ergo - you can find against Zuma.

I'm pretty damn sure there is that requirement... but nobody enforces it probably.

I like to think of them in the same way I think of people wearing company-branded jackets and overalls. Don't let their company clothing fool you into thinking they are something they are not (soldiers).

The same goes for the EFF and their berets and overalls.
