State capture inquiry begins

I find it impossible to follow him. I cant make sense of anything he says.
I understand him perfectly. He is not able to remember/can't remember/difficult to remember/does not recall/cannot recall/wouldn't have said/couldn't have said all those things that implicate him. Otherwise, his memory is sharp.

Am I the only one irritated at the answer feeding habit of both Justice and PP. Every now and then they keep on saying either you can say x or you can say y or whatever. Just ask the bloody question and let him decide. He is going to say 'I don't recall' in 90% of cases anyways.

It is annoying it reminds me of Tutu walking Winnie through an apology where he basically apologises on her behalf.

unfortunately, they have to walk this tight rope with JZ .... end of the day the commission must be akin to Caesar's wife, beyond reproach .... to have total legitimacy ... JZ team's aim is to do just the opposite.,,,and cry foul, like good old victims of an unjust process.

Question -

What is the aim of this inquiry - there's a lot of who did what, who didn't do what .....|

We all know the state was captured.

Are we ever going to get to deal with the reason for state capture which was to loot and plunder.

The numbers for the looting amount to apparently hundreds of billions, surely there's a paper trail for transactions on that scale ?

Putting these thieves behind bars will be a bonus, but we could do with the recovery of the money a lot more.

The aim is to find out where the dirt is buried so it can be disposed of properly before a criminal trial gets hold of it.

I believe it will lead to a decision by Zondo as to recommend prosecution or not...

Is this end of Zuma testimony? Lawyer requested adjournment to consult with his client.

News 24 Live blog -

Sikhakhane for Zuma now on his feet.

He wants an adjournment.

"I have a view that my client was brought in under false pretenses. My client is clearly being cross-examined. I want my client to consider his position - I advised him to come here in bona fides and I do not think I was right."

Wouldn't it be fair for Justice to ask the alleged criminal's lawyer if he is accusing commission?
I have a view that my client was brought in under false pretenses

Let him go, then supboena his behind and then cross examine him. He obviously attended now to make his accusations and try to discredit the process.
