State capture inquiry begins

...was always their plan..
Delay tactics is their plan of course but I think in this case he will continue and then he can say "look, my lawyer warned me but I have nothing to fear etc" - will help with selling socks...

Let him go, then supboena his behind and then cross examine him. He obviously attended now to make his accusations and try to discredit the process.
Yeah - I think it will be great if he doesn't continue on his own.

And there we go..

The lawyers have finally realised Jacob is going to implicate himself very shortly... they're trying to find a way to get him out of there.

I think this is true. And at the same time create ANOTHER smoke screen.

Finally! Zuma is going to consider his position. This is what I've been waiting for - the salacious stuff.

The commission will now adjourn for thirty minutes. Zuma's legal team wants to consult the former president on whether or not he should consider giving testimony.
And an hour later...

Oh man dont cut the soapie now, I was just getting hooked on the way he was almost killed..... I blame his wife that tried to poison him she should have double the dose, I would have helped paying for her legal fees afterwards

On a more serious side, what happens to his life of luxury Pres pension and so forth if he is found guilty now?

Commission is not going to decide if he is guilty or not.
That I know they can only make recommendations, but as far as I understand it he wont loose his benefits, as they will have to charge him in his personal capacity after this commission

That seems to be the case. However, my one main hope is that there is a tried and tested source of evidence accepted by the courts before - witness testimony.

If Zondo finds all the prosecution witnesses to be credible, then their testimony will stand. What will also shoot Zuma in the foot is that he doesn't refute what they are saying - just that he doesn't know/can't recall/has no knowledge.

Ergo - you can find against Zuma.

I hope.

This tells me Michael Hulley did most of the ground work for Zuma's schemes...
