Static IP addon?

Do any ISPs offer a static IP addon like you can get in the states from various people? I'd like to stick one on a 4mb ADSL line just for a small mail server.
 
You mean something like DynDNS?

Thats the only "static" IP addon I can think of.

edit: If that is what you were talking about check out www.dynami.co.za. Never used it before though.

Nah, not looking for DynDNS, that's easy enough - what I'm wanting is a bolt on or addon from an ISP.

In other words, I pay say R100 a month and get 2 static IPs.
 
Currently due to the way that Telkom's ADSL network works, there is no way to get allocated a static IP address through your PPPOE connection. However it IS possible get a static ip address using a VPN which is what some ISP's offer, like Openweb. However this is not an ideal way as there is a performance penalty using a VPN.
 
Business package ADSL accounts offer Static IP... although they are significantly more expensive. :(
