I have an iBurst modem and once every few months, my bandwidth on my dashboard goes crazy, just increasing for no reason.

When I run a virus check on Kaspersky, it usually gets sorted.

Can a virus steal badwidth? Or can someone connect through wireless and steal bandwidth.

+ MAC address filtering. That way no one except specific authorised laptops / pc's / cells can access.

Now that's as good as leaving the connection wide open, all you need to do is change your own MAC address to one on the network that is allowed.

First you need access to the device to get the MAC addresses.... :)
