Okay, I love Steam, Cheap games, can download new copy anytime etc etc. Today though it pissed me off.
I bought Witcher 2 about a month ago and installed it, 21gig download. So yesterday I finally start playing the game for about 3 hours. This morning I try to start it up, Steam gives me a message that the files needed to be converted to a new more efficient format! Okay, so it starts and finishes with about 5 minutes. Then to my horror it says it needs to download missing files. 12gigs worth! It was still downloading when I left work around 4pm. WTF.
As far as I can tell the sum total of patches for Witcher 2 non Steam is about 1.2 gigs?
Anyone had a similar experience?
