Hey guys,

So something happened with my Steam, not sure what exactly, but CS:GO won't launch, wants to download.

I have tried creating a new local directory and copying my existing CS:GO folder into it, but that's not working.

Any suggestions? I have all the game files, have verified them - takes about 2 seconds so maybe it isn't working correctly.

Would appreciate any help.

erm, whats the issue? lol as in whats happening

Lol. Okay.

So, CS:GO shows in my Steam Library. (I've been playing it daily).

All of a sudden when I try play it the Steam download window opens and tells me it will open as soon as the download is finished (6.1GB).

Now, the CS:GO folder is 13 GB so the files are definitely there.

I went into Steam>Settings>Downloads>Steam Library Folders>Add Library Folder.

Created a folder and copied all game folders (CS:GO, Skyrim, COD Ghosts) into the Steamapps>common folder.

Steam doesn't see them, still wants to download.

Need more info than that. Could be DirectX, graphic drivers. Could be that you just need to restart your PC.
Without knowing what happens when you try to launch the game, its hard to say what the issue is.

delete csgo redownload

EDIT: If you do wanna do that you can grab the csgo folder from me

Go to library and right click on the game and verify installation.

I think it's like that.

No that's the point, I have the CS:GO files so getting it from someone else wouldn't help.

Anyway I fixed it, I uninstalled it from steam, then told it to install, it detected the local files (which it wasn't doing before) and then all is good. I have a small update to do but otherwise all good. I think, until I test it :P
