Hey guys...Ok I have 2 questions.. :o

Firstly...what happened to Openlabs?

Secondly...Ok I'm not sure if this was eventually implemented, but I believe that at one stage openlabs was working on a method to authenticate through steam using only a local only account.

Is this still possible and if so, how can you do so?

Or will I have to by a 1gig international account just to authenticate?

Thanks
Peppercorns :)

i dont think local is possible

also get that 1GB international per month, steam, if you don't go online for a while, will not allow you to play games in offline mode

Best to do, get 1GB pre-paid for steam :)

BTW Boramk! I see you got your 8800GT, PM me sometime and tell me how it plays! :)

Openweb was working on something like this, but it's against the Steam/Valve T&C/Usage Policy afaik.

One of the reasons I won't ever pay for games that require activation or any internet. Instead of paying for a game that treats you like a pirate why not beat it to the punchline.
