A friend got me a coffee machine as a thank you gift, and I just unpacked it and cleaned it out and tested it out. 3 terribly burnt fingers later (manuals? who reads manuals??), I have successfully made espresso. Steamed milk, less successful.
The steam wand thing seems to be way too short. Had to fill a cup fairly full to be able to use it, and it then spilled over before the milk was even warm. Ended up doing a bit, spooning out the foam, steaming again, spooning out the foam... I don't think I got any warmed milk out of it, just warm foam.
So... any tips? Hints for how to do it better? Can I replace that part?
