Steam problem

Hey guys, Started installing dota 2 when it got to 82% my steam started saying no connection. and the update was suspended

I have tried pausing and resuming it I have left it for a few hours with the update suspended message Restated pc and steam many times. Also made sure it was allowed through my firewall then i even disabled my firewall altogether

I had other updates paused which I resumed and even though my steam says no connection they still downloaded and I can browse the steam store and community but not my friends list :wtf: And I cant play games that need a connection to steam e.g(mw3)

All other internet\web applications are fine, I tried on another pc and i cant even log in to my account it says steam servers are unavailable.

Now I have removed Dota 2 and it refuses to download at all saying ' error no connection'.

Any help pls?

Have you checked the steam forums to see if anyone else is experiencing the same errors?

I just checked on Google, now i went to steam... seems their is a lot of other's with problems.

I had this exact same problem on Tuesday!!!

From what I have read changing your country seems or changing the download speed settings to Cable > 10m works for some users but none of these worked for me. I restarted the download and the game downloaded fine the 2nd time but give that a try.

Haven't had this issue, but since the summer sale every time I visit the store page, money comes off my bank account.
