Hi there i want to know what URL steam use when you need to update steam, i have vodacom uncapped account but i cant log in or update steam with IS it logs and update straight away know i need the URL of steam so i can log an fault with my ISP can someone please help.

I have ask Steam 4 times for the URL and they come up with different story's every time just like Telkom...

There is no one URL for Steam, it dynamically selects the best server available. Even if you set it to download from "Africa", it will still download a lot of content from elsewhere.

The best you can get is this exceedingly long list of every known Steam IP, http://www.iblocklist.com/list.php?list=steam.

This is the IP and hostname of the IS sever, steam.isgaming.co.za 196.38.180.3.

I doubt this info will really help you though.
