STEAM woes :(

The new steam update has rendered all SGS CSS servers useless. Any one else getting this "Server uses different class's" or something like that?
 
This blows, now I actually have to do WORK!!!
 
Just new models, the sas and leet models are out.
L337 model even comes with a cellphone, you can use it to phone ppl in game now :p
 
I decided to reinstall Steam last week after I reformatted. It was installed to a seperate partition, so I pointed the installer to that directory and guess what? It overwrote what was there, i.e. all those .gcf files, HL2, CSS:S, CS, etc.

Trying to "update" / "download" steam on SAIX shaped ADSL is _the_ most painful thing ever. 3% @ 5.8kb/sec - bring on ISDN!
 
ouch, cant you get the files from anybody else to speed up your update?
 
Yeah, I guess I could. My girlfriend has them, but hers are pretty old. I will just leave it to do it's thing.

Leaves me more time to catch up on work with all these damn power cuts this week! :D
 
I only see one Couterstrike Source Server called, SGS AGASA League I.

Arg no man, that is a shame. For any other peeps that want to move a steam install from either one drive to another or even to another computer this is all you need to do.

1: Move the entire Dir Steam directory (The original one)
2: In the new location delete the file called "clientregistry.blob" in the root of your steam install
3: Launch Steam
Steam will say updating platform and takes about 1 min.

The client registry stores the infomation about where the game is installed physically and a few other settings. There is no need to EVER re-install. Sorry you did not know this sooner. Drop me a PM and I will copy all the gcf files on a DVD and post it to you, it will be allot cheaper and and easier on your cap, you don't wanna blow it all at the beginning and then not be able to play later.

what happens if you want to use a different STEAM user/account
 
long story - needless to say it involved a friend, many Tequilas and a strip joint
 
A steam install can have unlimited (only limited to disk space) accounts. Each user logs on but only one concurrent login(online) is allowd. My work PC has my and my boss's steam accounts loaded cause he always steals my PC cause his laptop isn't good enough.
