A few weeks ago a person that do contract work for google with googlemaps stoped at the service station near us. I was very interested in how you applied for a job like that. He drives around the hole country taking photos with a supplied car. Get paid to see ure country. Sounds like my kinda job.

They normally only tell you the perks... Not the paper work and what not...

no that's some local guy who's had that license plate for a few years. I forgot his name but he's not related to Google...

Well I am not surprised, the cost of bandwidth in SA is not worth setting up locally.

This is very disappointing, especially after claiming he'd sort out the issues the local market has been complaining about, ala local servers for gmail and search.
He hasn't even been "in office" for a year. Bah....
