The 2 Second Rule

Most International road safety campaigns refer to the “2 Second Rule” as a guideline for safe following distances. A point on the road is noted, two seconds are counted, and if that point is still visible then there's probably enough following distance.

Assuming he adhered to the above I think a bullet travels a lot faster than 2 seconds. Or even if we give him the benefit of the doubt - say ten seconds... If they chose to shoot I think his children would still have been in danger!

Sorry, what?

Well if his safe distance is anything like the other drivers there, it's probably half a car length. Besides which, what would he have done if he had seen a police car? Flagged it down? By the time he explained what he was doing the robbers would've been at home counting the money already.

So according to you, a safe following distance to prevent accidents would also be applied when facing a robber with an AK47?

Pls, don't make it worse for yourself than it already is :D

Ah, but you forget who we are talking about. Old has been Stevie boy is not renowned for acting responsibly now, is he? Maybe you must consider the whole scenario objectively taking into account who was behind the steering wheel & past behaviour.

I think old Steve will do anything to get publicity - even endangering his kids if it comes to that.

For sure.

However, I doubt even Steve is dumb enough to tailgate a car which has robbers in it armed with an AK47 ;)

All Steve did was follow at a safe distance hoping he could alert a police car or something. The only dumb thing he did was hope for a police car.
I Agee.

How do you know it was a safe distance? From the reporting which plainly has it's nose so far up Steve's arse they can smell his tonsils?
Sies Fudzy. If it were any other person people would have said well done how brave and would have ratted on the police.

i think steve might have seen some long hair coming out of a balaclava and fancied his chances :D
