People still care about what the Woz thinks?
Fandroids must be a tad oversensitive because I don't see any hatred of Android being expressed by the Woz.![]()
"Wrong. iPhone is my favorite phone. I did give my opinion that the Windows 7 phone had superior visual appearance and operation cues that were also more attractive. In my opinion, it sets the mark for user interface. I would recommend it over my Android phones given that it doesn’t yet have the breadth of apps. I surmise that Microsoft hired someone from Apple and put money into having a role in the UI and appearance of some key apps. I also surmised that Steve Jobs might have been reincarnated at MS due to a lot of what I see and feel with this phone making me think of a lot of great Apple things."

The Lumia 900 UK release date has been pushed back due to high demand in the US.

Slipping? Not so much![]()
Read Woz's book and you'll realise his pretty tech agnostic - he loves good design for it's own sake.
I have an Android Phone and Tablet - why? 'cos I like the ability to tweak and tinker and customise the wazoo out of it.
Do any of my Android devices that I use every day come close to the sleekness, slickness and flow of my SO's 4s and Ipad2 - not a chance! What's even worse is that the Android devices do not integrate as well into the enterprise eg. Junos Pulse (just works on iPad allowing secure link; on Android - pfft); MS Lync / Office Communicator (just works on iPad; Android - pfft); LogMeIn so I can work on home pc remotely (no prize for guessing right, yes, Ipad - just works; Android - pfft).
The list goes on...and yet, I still prefer my Android Tab (live widgets, USB port, MicroSD card, customisable as anything)
Let's not fool ourselves - our favourite OS is very, very rough around the edges - we shouldn't be surprised - it's not being curated by single minded obsessives (unlike IOS)
As for WP7, really looking forward to playing with it - it should be smooth, it's had both IOS and Android to learn from (in addition, never forget that MS learnt a lot from their Zune experiment - Google never had that for Android).
Await a decent Windows based tablet (not the cruddy self defense weapons currently on the market - big, thick, heavy, ugly running non-tablet optimised operating system) with great anticipation (for the enterprise features if nothing else).
Dude. You're getting it all wrong.
Android is about freedom. Just plug in your phone to your pc and drag and drop.
I really don't care about the other crap you wrote there, in fact, I didn't even read it.
If you understand Android, you'll know what freedom means.
...don't recognise that it has real flaws
Sigh....how do you expect to be taken seriously with a comment like the one above
11,640 posts and this is the best you can come up with.
Just because you love something doesn't mean that you don't recognise that it has real flaws
Well, Nokia didn't have a say in the interface, so that's a badly thought out excuseHowever, can't see myself going back to Nokia, got burnt too much (last Nokia was E72 - good phone, but a really cludgy interface).
