I was going through my services in the mmc looking for something when I noticed a service called STI Simulator...

I did a search on the net & found it belongs to http://www.systemstech.com/

"Systems Technology, Inc. is a research and development firm specializing in systems analysis, including vehicle dynamics and control, and related human/machine interaction and human factors."

I googled some more and found alot of sites have heard of it but dont know what it does and others say it belongs to the webcam Pastvce.exe(spelling)

So I disabled the service and tried my webcam and it works fine, which to me indicates that its not related to the service...

Any ideas?

EDIT: My point is, I have no idea where this came from & Im just trying to find out what it is

I see a few guys complaining about the service - all looks like its related to malware. Run a spybot/adaware scan and see if it detects it. Also upload the file to virustotal and see if any of the scanners detect it as malware.

Will doo, tx

Funny how a company like would be considered malware...

Sexually transmitted infection simulator...
It's probably a software driver for a hardware interface that causes untold pain and suffering when electrodes are strategically placed on the body.
