Whatever you tag I can read. Your posts simply do not add value.

Why all this 2016 or 2017 models?
I've the access to that.

I want to hear about you and your cab; what's good and what's bad..

Pardon my indulgence: Fiesta! What do you drive?
And for the rest.....Let's talk opinions, whether they are good or bad, or different.

Let's talk about our cars.

Cut and paste is soooooooooooooo........read already.

I have a car. It's pretty new. It's currently in the shop though, having a towbar fitted. I also need to pay for a replacement tire on it.
I'm a bit sad about that.

Since learning to drive back in 1966, between various businesses and myself, I have owned 55 cars. Most were pretty good, gave good service, did not cost much to maintain and had reasonable resale value

Three models stand out which contradict this

By far the most outstanding car I ever owned was a 1984 Honda Ballade. I sold it in 1990 to a friend's wife. She still has it, drives it twice a day between Kirstenhof and Epping, plus shopping trips. It has covered 615000km. The engine has never been opened up. The only thing that has had to be replaced in 32 years is the window winding handle. The company she works for services fork-lift trucks and they see to servicing and tyres for her on a regular basis. The second clutch was fitted last year, at 575000km

The next best one is a 1991 Nissan 1200 LDV. Apart from some rust, it is still going strong as a work bakkie, driven every day to customers in the southern suburbs. None of these two cars have ever been involved in an accident

The worst one of all was made worst by terrible agents. It was a BMW 325i. It developed an oil leak at 72000km. Auric Auto had 4 goes at fixing this and on 3 occasions tried their damndest to get me to pay. The ultimate trick was to accept the car for the same repair 4 days before the warranty expired, keep it 5 days and then tell me it was out of warranty. I had to pay their R 5500 fee to get the car back.

It still leaked oil

I took it to a private mechanic in Salt River. He ascertained in 30 mins there was a rubber seal which had been fitted back to front, took it out and cleaned it and that solved the oil leak. I told the dealer principal at Auric Autom he listened to my story, told me I was talking rubbish and put down the phone. BMW SA declined to get involved. The dealer ignored emails

You seem to be the only bloke who has issues with "stick & paste".

This is a motoring section; hence motoring current affairs are rather noteworthy or important. It you know...facilitates (Motoring-related) discussions.

If there are other people out there who feel that the "stick & paste" jobbies are a bit much feel free to air your view.

I don't only "stick & paste" content I also try to add value to many other threads.

Its actually copy and paste, but I am splitting hairs here. Want some other stories?

How about a white Toyota taxi which collects tickets by the score in Mitchell's Plain but has the same CA number as my blue Honda Jazz? I have had Metro cops around to my house 5 times looking for the taxi so now keep a copy of the Honda's registration to show them. Some of them get quite aggressive and imply its my fault

Hawu !!! OP why didn't you just create your thread, why the snide comments

It took me some time to make sense of what you on about... maybe you could have told us what you drive and ask fellow forumites to comment on their rides but in your haste to criticize you even forgot to tell us what you drive...

Your home work for today.
It is all in another post during this week.
.....And in quite a few other topics in the past few months.

Pay attention please.

Hmmm, it has been 13 out of 23 thread replies on the first page of the motoring section...it does tend to drown out some questions other forum members may ask with regards to motoring related issues.

I think that @Fiesta is doing a good job, not sure what the bitching is about.
Why don't you just start your own car thread?

Also, there is a lack of forum sections here.

I get you, but instead of criticizing someone else's threads and posts what about creating your own and influencing the direction of this sub forum? be the change you want to see on the motoring section?

As It stands now I don't know whether this thread was just a point of calling someone to order on the stick and paste posts or it's actually a thread where we can post about our rides?

I am very keen of posting details about my ride by the way, but should I do it here in this thread?

Unfortunately when I like to talk about my car some people on this forum think I am a car dealer.

Anyway, I drive the most amazing Mahindra Thar.

Disclaimer : I do not sell cars for a living. I am a software developer.:p

For some of us who would like to know what's going on in the industry but don't have the time to look elsewhere, having it here on the forum is perfect. If you don't like it don't read it.

Back to talking about our cars.

Had to say goodbye to the car we've had for 13 years last month. Gearbox eventually gave up due to lack of maintenance. Titanium Silver 2003 e46 BMW 318i Steptronic, still remember the day my father and I took her for a test drive when I was a kid. First car I fell in love with and one of the reason I love Beemers.
