More effort to turn? Don't you mean heavy then?

Also what are you comparing it to? My Uno's were heavier than a power assisted car, but much lighter than my dad's Conquest (at the time)

Finally have you tried increasing your tyre pressure?

I don't know exactly what is faulty, but I can tell you from exp changing one car part at a time will give problems again and again. why don't you take it to a car mechanic?

hey guys sorry for the late reply , its very easy to get the steering wheel into full lock and its worrying me a bit, i am going to the mech tomorrow so that they can check it out. tyre pressure doesnt make any difference really , if i make it 1.8 bars or 1.9 (recommended) it still feels light. could it be worn bushings on the suspension ?? sorry noob question btw
