Stock cooler: Is it good enough?

When buying the i5 3570K, is the stock cooler good enough, or is it a must to get something else?
I'm not planning on doing OC at all.

No. Of course they'll sell you a cooler that isn't good enough for your cpu. Makes perfect sense.
 
If you not going to overclock, there is no need to get 3570K - get a stock 3570. More expensive 'K' version lacks a few features of the standard 3570, has better onboard gfx & 'unlocked' multiplier for overclocking, see here:

Sums it up well though rather snidely.

If they didn't provide a good enough cooler with the CPU it would cause more problems for them than for you. Also modern CPUs are better than ever at shutting down if they start overheating you so have nothing to worry about.
 
I have an older i5, I assume it is the same cooler though. It's good enough for stock clocks, I'm sitting at 28C atm (although it's kak cold tonight). If you plan on doing heavy over-clocking obviously you'll need something beefier, although if you're asking this question I doubt that you're planning on over-clocking too hectically.
