I am looking for a productive way to filter JSE counters based on certain criteria.
Do any of you know of useful software or websites that can help?

My current broker (ABSA Stockbrokers) do not really offer anything useful in this regard.

You'll have to more specific on the type of criteria, fundamental or technical.

Is it on dividends, earnings per share, balance sheet type criteria?
Or is it stocks that have made x gains, or new macd switchovers, etc?

It is rather easy to spot a noob hey?

I would be happy with technical criteria for now, something to help identify trends and so forth.
Fundamentals seem to require a level of understanding that I do not yet have.

If its any consolation in SA ive only met
a handful of people who actually understand
fundamentals and yet ive met many who
trade with size.

The big key is to decide on a strategy and follow through on it. Finding one is not easy
and as much as Ive seen that everyone wants you to believe they are making so much money they are actually not, especially in this bear market.

Just saying take your time to get your ducks in a row you are not missing out on anything
