That's the problem with the TIA style of stealing stuffAnd apparently they are not cheap - the figure I was quoted by a council member was outrageous! Can't remember what it was, but I was floored.
Fibre doesn't carry electricity particularly well. Or at all.so if they so expensive to replace, why not replace it with fibre optic cables?

but all of those are targets for the criminals as well,
best solution is to put the traffic light high enough so it cant be easily reached
hell or surround it with spikes and put it inside a cage, like everything of value in SA already is.
