OK, so my newly acquired car is black. That means stone chips are quite visible on the paint work. A quick google search indicates that stone chip protection involves a film being placed over your body panels. Is this the only way to protect against stone chips (besides not driving)?
In addition, how much do these services typically go for?
My car has quite a number of small chips, when I say small I mean less than 1 mm but it has a number of them that makes the bonnet look speckled. So I'll probably need to get the bonnet sprayed and then have the film put over.
