Municipal leaders and officials should stop blaming poor service delivery on apartheid, Co-operative Governance Minister Richard Baloyi said on Thursday.
“We can't blame it (service delivery) on apartheid. Gone are those days,” he told a conference on municipal infrastructure in Boksburg.
“Today, we cannot claim that we do not own this infrastructure. It is for us to rise above it and do something (about failing infrastructure).”
The conference was discussing ways of supporting municipalities with planning, developing, repairing and maintaining ailing infrastructure, in order to improve service delivery. – Sapa

A lone voice of reason... for a change.
 
The jewish people still go on about the days of hitler so i doubt it will ever go away. Far too many folks live in the past and enjoy using things that happened decades ago as an excuse. All the corruption and BS our government gets up to always has the same excuse.

So i hope people can stop going on about the past and leave it there but i highly doubt it will happen, when they need to make their case they will use the excuse.

Yes, such events seem to gather a life of their own and are abused as long as it creates sympathy for a specific cause - political or social.

What do you mean marine? All i am saying is whether it happened 10 years ago or 60 years ago you will always the people who will blame the past. Those same people will then about other people who blame the past which is odd.

So expect the excuse top be used over and over and it won't go away as long as their are retards in the world who live in past.

Godwin or not the point is no matter how much time passes idiots will always blame the past to excuse the rubbish they do. I am not even talking about israel here as that is another debate and topic so marine you can relax.

I doubt it can be a record if someone never even knew about this godwin thing :D.
 
And soon the race card or the apartheid card will be pulled by yours truly.

History has become nothing more than a political tool to be utilised to support or defend some cause.

Its no longer about the truth or the facts of what occured, but about the support or sympathy one can garner from an event or series of events.

Interesting that Baloyi's words fell on deaf ears. Interesting to compare and see if anything changed. As we by now know and realise nothing did, it actually became worse so the message got lost.
