Johannesburg - A Wits University student disrupted a BBC interview demanding that another student, who was being interviewed at the time, "stop lying".

Footage of the confrontation has emerged on social media. In the video recording, a student who identifies herself as a Wits University student doctor is seen shouting at what appears to be a BBC producer and a fellow student.

The student is seen disrupting the BBC interview by reporter Karen Allen demanding that a fellow student tell the truth about students' struggles.

"What about the financially excluded students? What about the students who were arrested?" she asks.

A BBC producer then demands that the student refrain from raising her voice in a children's ward.

The student then turns her attention to the BBC producer.

"I'm a student, I have every right to be here. I'm a medical student, I have every right to be here," the Wits student says.

The student continues to shout at the fellow student doctor "not to lie".

In a second video the BBC producer is seen telling the student to stop shouting because she is being disruptive.

"Who am I disturbing?" she asks.

The student claims that the BBC producer "dumped" a baby in her lap demanding that she stop the child from crying and disturbing the interview.

"You dumped the baby on my lap and told me to make the baby shush. You are the one that is causing disruption here."

In a third video the student claims the BBC had not been granted permission to interview students at Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital.

"Did they even get permission to do this interview? I did not give consent. Don't come and exploit this public space to push your BBC agenda. You are only interested in telling one side of the story. There are thousands of students that are financially excluded. Ask anybody here. Medical school is aware of it," she tells another producer.

Should have just given that stupid entitled cow a PK...

Her name should also be released so that intelligent people can demand that they or their children are not treated by her.

Student doctor ...... ?

The BBC reporter must have been a proctologist, seeing as she had to deal with a little A hole.

I was thinking exactly the same. Nothing would give me more pleasure.

Your BBC agenda. Why shouldn't they be allowed to push their BBC agenda while she can push her FMF agenda !

Because she is a precious little flower and her opinion is just so special that it must be given room to grow and flourish regardless of how monumentally retarded it and the opinion holder actually are.

I'm going to prop up my LME (Lawyers must earn) agenda. Minimum salary of 500 000 a month for lawyers, free MBA paid by society.

In exchange I'm ready to work 100% pro bono for the poors (as long as I cash in my monthly 500 000) !

I'm sure it'll cost less than FMF !

I'd like to laugh but instead I'm crying :(

We might be paying for her studies through increased taxes.

So tired of these students. What do these morons think are going to happen when employers google their names and find articles like this?

Wonder what the legal implications are of setting up an online database with their names linking to the articles?

I'm a student, I have every right to be here

no. no you do not.

being a student means you must study. that is all.

consequences is whats missing with this lot, no repercussions.

I just can't get how they think they will ever actually participate in actual "dialogue" when they do it like this.

They are not interested in discussing anything. They just keep talking. Not giving anybody else a chance to speak. Hardly taking a breath. They are only interested in their own opinions.

That... Is a sure fire way of pushing people away. They will simply just smile and wave and hope you put some distance between yourself and them. Never engaging again since being denied the courtesy of saying anything in a "conversation" is one of the most annoying experiences possible for a human being.

But I suppose they see it on TV and they think it is somehow powerful. Yes! A powerful way to lose respect. And afterwards I suppose they tell everybody that nobody could say anything to dispute them. Well damned right nobody could say anything over your incessant screeching.

lol I feel sorry for somebody like that. They either do not have the EQ to understand why they are acting silly, or they will be ashamed of it one day.

I bet you that girl was ready to assault the guy if he insisted on actually saying a word. That... Is so uncool. It defies classification of how uncool it is.

that is pretty much it, i have seen this in action and heard the mentioned bragging afterwards. i have seen these people praise their reality show stars for doing it.

it is also thought to be tactical and intelligent if you bombard the other person with nonsensical arguments and reasoning to the point that they dont reply.

What scares me is that it worked for Malema. Although he's infinitely smarter than these students are.

I'm not going to say "kids these days". I saw the same behavior plenty of times on Jerry Springer back in the day by grown men and women. And I have experienced it myself. I suppose all you can say is "stupid common people" lol
