Keep getting messages about data I buy . Data I've used up. Out of bundle charges. Dial 141. Dial other numbers . Special offers. Rubbish. Thanks for this. Thanks for that.
Maybe 10 messages a day to both my contract phones for which I NEVER NEED TO BUY ANYTHING AS I HAVE A PERFECT CONTRACT FOR OUR NEEDS !!!!!:eek::eek:
 
Sounds like MTN.

Perhaps you can hand over your complaint to WASPA: https://waspa.org.za/ if you are unable to opt out from receiving these SMS. They help you where they can to stop spam SMS. I strongly believe you should be able to opt-out from receiving unwanted SMS.

How do I get the phone number? Just shows as MTN under message details....
 
I think you misinterpret "spam" with "notifications". Spam is when Dr. Zuzu is advertising his witch doctor services to you at 3am in the morning to give you a longer peepee.

This is MTN's way of warning their dumbass customers they might be in for a huge bill at the end of the month, because somehow people are still "surprised" when they get hit with a R20k+ bill because they left torrents on on their contract or their kids downloaded an 80gb blue-ray.
