I am flying via Doha on Qatar Airways on a trip to Europe. I have a 1 hour stopover in Doha on both the flight to and back. I can't seem to get info on visa requirements? Does anybody know if I will need one? I can't think that I will, but don't want to be stuck at the airport because I don't have a visa.

Don't need a visa. Also bring a good book - it is probably the most boring airport in the world!

You don't need a visa, you will just be staying in the terminal building.

Oh and be extra sure they book your bag all the way through from Europe to CT, you can't collect them at Doha (since you are just staying inside the building)

Like they said, you dont need a visa to stay in the airport terminal. But you cant go into the country though. Its only an hour anyway, but even if not you require a visa and sponsor. I lived in Doha for 3 years, getting a visa for there is a hassle. You need to know some1 there most of the time and you also need hotel reservations as they are also involved in issuing the visa. For 1 hour stopover you wont have any time to go out anyway.

you can use the free wifi to keep yourself busy........

1 hour ?

Have a cup of tea or something??

If an hour is also 60 minutes in the Middle East...I suggest you forget about the visa and concentrate on making your connecting flight... :-)
