So I rooted my SG II and installed Jellybam 7.6 ( http://www.bam-android.com/ ) in order to get JellyBean 4.2.2

All was well until recently all app updates are failing due to "Storage space running out" on the internal storage (2GB). I also can't install any apps that might help diagnose the problem, again because the phone thinks there is no space.

However, both the system "storage" menu graphic and Window's file explorer tell me there is plenty of space on the internal storage - see screenshots.

It looks like there is plenty of space - but the phone tells me only 56Mb is available

I've moved all apps that I can to the "external" SD card, which has 11Gb space.. but I can't move any of the others. I've tried uninstalling apps that I can't move to try to free up some space.

I've deleted all backups, cleared the cache, rebooted into recovery, cleared the Dalvik cache and the other cache.

What next do I try?

Did a complete wipe and installed 7.7. Hopefully this will solve the problem.

Funny enough I tried to upgrade my facebook app on my S2 just now & got a 'insufficient storage available' message despite having a minimum of 600k left on any of the storage device.

OS on stock 4.0.3 though .. just wierd.
