I can't decide what to buy. Do I get an invisibleshield or should I get a hard case, or a soft skin with a screen protector?

What do you have?

I have the invisishield on my Desire, its very nice!! but does not offer protection for the sides / edges of the phone.

Get a screen protector made for capacative screens and the soft case made by RIM (you should find that at vodashops) mine has remained intact for two years and my phone survived two major falls in it.

The soft case, does it not attract dust which can scratch the phone as it gets underneath?

My phone has no scratches, but yes it does attract dust. Just whack it against something and it comes clean.
