Storm 2 - Screen Cracked! FAIL

So, i was a bit of an idiot yesterday. Had my phone on my lap in the car, and was in a bit of a rush and when i parked I forgot about the phone on my lap and jumped out of the car, proceeding to "throw" my 1 month old Strom2 across the car park. Picking it up, my worst fears were realised.
I have cracked the screen :mad:
However, it doesn't look like the LCD Panel is damaged. it just looks like the glass top is cracked.
Anyone know where i can take it? Im in Durban.
Will i need to get it repaired by my service provider?
 
Oh jeez, that is not good. My Storm2 is only 2 weeks old and I'm trying not to break it, lol. still get the hang of some of its features. As far as service goes, your first point of call is your service provider, I don't know of any blackberry direct (except at VodaWorld in Midrand Jhb) or Research In Motion locally.

Ya, its not ideal! I was extremely bleak about it.
I have dropped in once before, but yesterday it landed screen down on the gravel and i can see the impact point, so obviously landed on a stone or something.
 
broke mine too, same situation. Through vodacom it will be as good as buying a new one, not worth fixing. youll have to do it through a 3rd party... mines gonna cost me R1250. the digitizer is stuck to the lcd so even if its not broken you will need to replace it too. sad i know... goodluck
 
hey, look at the bright side, at least u dont have to downlaod a 'cracked screen' theme :)

Does anyone know how much the screen replacement costs , got a quote from vodacare today for R 3000 :sick: ... Which is just ridiculous, any indication on how long it would take as well...

Oh and how would this impact my warranty if I was to go with Berryfix
