Storm water management

Hi all - after being a homeowner for almost 10 years want to sort out the water drainage specifically stormwater and get as much of it away from the house as possible. Not much on an issue in general till we have prolonged rain or fast heavy rains.

I see there are pop up emitters in the US but do we have something similar here?

We are at the bottom of a steep incline in the complex

A ton of water has been eroding away the yard

Had underground drains installed that carry the water to the road.

Was a pita to get approvals, but so far so good.

I very highly recommend checking out a YouTube channel called gate city drainage and foundation.. probably best advise you could ever get on drainage.. he always shows his work as well as the results..

I would forego pop up emitters and aim to move the water away to the street or a paved area where you know it's going away..

Yep.. you'll see in this video how the yard is slowly eroding away from the pop up emitter as it flows to the road..
