Early this morning. Internet is flying. Proof again that it is not my hardware or software but congestion on the the exchange.

Compare this video I did this morning to this video when it is super slow

What's like today for you Dyanamo? That does look dismal from last night.
 
Ill only be able to tell tonight unfortunately. I tried with my FNB connect account and int was flying. Im still on green for uncapped on the telkom website and should not be shaped. Problem is the exact same thing happened with afrihost as well when I should not have been shaped and they could not explain it. This makes me believe that our exchange itself is prioritizing capped over uncapped to handle the load.

BTW what account do you have? A capped or uncapped? I very seldom have had problems with my capped accounts, just now and then. Its definitely the exchange and for me the bad times are normally before 10pm at night.

Seems better now
 
I am in Somerset West - 021 851....
I am also with Afrihost and I have a 10Mbps line and capped account. I used to get a constant speed of 8.5Mbps 24/7. I am now get speeds of 3Mbps during peak hours 6-9pm. I have sent Afrihost a ping plot of the packet loss but they insist it is a problem with my line.
