I am getting faster pings from India sites than South African ones.

Averaging: 450ms on SA servers but getting 390ms on Indian servers.

USA servers :around 800ms
UK: 600ms

Im on Telkom Do 384

It means the routing is fcked. Your local data is taking a detour overseas.

Run a few traces with tracert to see where its going.

My mweb account at home is also doing this.

Do a trace route to the server and post the results here.

For some reason my connection at work (mweb business uncapped) doesn't want to resolve the last hop to like www.take2.co.za:
Code:

Switch from the laptop to the PC, The PC not having this problem. On the side note the latency for international sites is horrid what was it like before the undersea cables?

Gotta love seacom!

If they didn't crash on a monthly bases we'll know they did something wrong which was right.
