I don't know if its just chance, but since we've put our Sunsynk in, 3 of our 9000 BTU AC's have strange behavior when on auto fan - they keep spinning up fast..slow...fast...slow. Regardless of what mode they're in.

If 1 did it, I'de be ok its faulty. But 3 (2 Jet-Air, 1 Samsung) are doing it. Any ideas?

Gonna take a stab here and guess that your inverter is unable to supply the required starting amps for the motor to spin up properly..

If I understand correctly, there would be two starting amps, on the AC side for the Aircon and then on the DC side as well, before the inverter converts to AC.. the AC side starting amps may be 2A but this is usually a lot more on the DC side..

Like i said, just a guess from my side and stand corrected..

Doubtful.

All three my aircons start up just fine on the smaller inverter of the same model.

Same... no issues with 3x 9kbtu, 1x 12k and 1x 18k btu jet air inverter models

Actually come to think of it I don’t use or don’t have an auto fan function.

I would imagine it relates to the frequency of electricity being passed to the aircon causing the issue.

I might.
I also noticed it’s worse in fan-only mode. In heating and cooling it’s there but not as pronounced. Weird .
