Hey,
I'm hoping one of the people here maybe have seen this issue and have some advice.
I have a Linksys WGA200G ADSL modem, this morning after it started to rain in Pretoria i've been having a weird problem with my ADSL. The modem constantly keeps on losing it's connection to the DSLAM, sometimes it's just the internet that dies, but the DSL light stays lit, other times both go down.
What I saw later when I was phoning telkom about the issue, the modem stays connected while I am on the phone and I can browse with no issues at all. Interestingly as soon as you put down the phone give about 30 seconds and the ADSL starts acting up again.
The same happens if I just take the phone off the receiver and let the line go "dead", full internet access with no disconnects. I unplugged the phone and the filter to check if it might be caused by the phone and still had the same disconnection issues, I've even tried my old Netgear DG384GT modem with the same problem.
Has anybody experienced this type of issue before.
