Strange artifacts

I'm having these strange artifacts pop up at certain times. First it was in Chrome, now the launcher of LoL...

Does anyone know what could be causing them?

Stuffed GFX card - or GFX card drivers?

Would un-install and reinstall the drivers as a first port of call.
