I just stumbled upon a very strange situation where my sound with my Asus Xonar U3 would start crackling or making popping sounds while I'm playing YouTube or mp4 files (with AAC codecs).
When I play mp3's then I have no such issue, or when I'm using my onboard audio.

I checked the latency with DPC Latency Checker and it seemed OK at ~330us avg and 1200us max.

This problem started when I changed my Windows "Color scheme" from "Windows 7 Standard" to "Windows 7 Basic" and it went away again when I changed it back!

I never knew changing a theme could mess with your sound!!!

I'm actually sitting with a LG Notebook (i3 380M with 2GB of RAM and Windows 7 Home Basic x86) where the videos would break/skip badly every couple of minutes, and I can't find anything in Process Explorer.
