Hi All

Received a strange call this morning from a "cell C" Employee.

The lady had all my details, read my ID number, name and address to me. She said that they are doing a new benefits program for R39 per month added to your current contract debit order. It is month to month, and can be cancelled if 30 days notice is given.

Apparantly you can get discount at restaurants and when you do shopping with this program. They say you can call cellc, and if you buy 2 meals at a restaurant, you get one for free, and things like that. They just wanted me to confirm my email address if I want it added to my account.

This seems a bit strange to me, Am I living under some sort of a rock, has anyone else received such calls?

Yes, its helpful if you eat every meal at a restuarant lol

lol, I told the lady I don't eat out at all. Her response:

"you are still young, and you don't eat out at all?!"

Yeah its just useless stuff they want to charge on your account.

Something about a personal assistant or something that you can call to arrange seats at restaurants and all kinds of bull****.

The phone call is extremely long too -_- I just gave up and put the phone down.

Lol, yes, she says it is a very quick call. 5 minutes in I am thinking, sheesh....

It seems to be that yes. Just very strange though, I don't really see the use. There must be some sort of trickery at play here. Nothing is cheaper at no cost, or R30 or how ever much it is for this thing.

Mmmmm - two months ago I had a Cell C rep call my wife asking for her ID number - which would be fine IF we were Cell C customers which are not. :wtf:

On Friday a Cell person called me on my land line, and politely told me I owe Cell C R300 bucks?? Which would be fine, bit I am not a Cell C customer.... :wtf:

And Cell Cs response here ---------> '' ''.:erm:
