Strange HD PVR error and DSTV forum website shows "Forbidden"

So;

I have been having some issues lately with my HD PVR and thought id visitthe DSTV forum site to find the problem. However you get a "403 Forbidden error". Anyone know whatsup with that?

Anyway.
I have been having some issues lately with my HD PVR's HDMI port. The whole screen would suddenly turn green, then flicker and show static like you used to get on your old TV when you pulled out the aerial cable.
Then it seems to recover and the picture comes back and the sound is muted. Over60 seconds the volume gradually increases to full blast.
Took my PVR in with a short cellphone video of what is happening, the replaced it. Guess what! "New" one does the same thing.

What is strange about all of this is that it started happening just before the new Explorer launched. Might just be a coincidence?

Have you tried a different HDMi cable?
Have you tried a different screen?

I think the problem might be on the cable or HDMi tuner of the screen...

Yes, coincidence... Sound like they did their part by replacing your decoder.

Tried a different cable - same problem
Tried the same screen but with the HDMI out of my laptop watching a movie. Had no issues so that rules out the HDMI tuner of the screen.
I have noticed the PVR is running very hot, something the previous one also did.

That wont make any difference if something in the software is causing the issue, then they can replace it a 100 times and it will still have that problem

Well, if it was software, it would have been a more common problem. It's not however.

Valid point you have there.

I've put computer CPU fan on the PVR, that seems to be working. No strange issues yet. Will leave it a while and see what happens. Regardless it looks like a trip to Multichoice in my future.
