I've been having this strange issue since Friday evening, where I get extremely low speeds on both my uncapped and unshaped accounts.
Funny thing is that my uploads are quicker than my downloads.
On my 4Mb line, I'm currently getting around 0.13Mb/s down and 0.23Mb/s up with a latency of 239ms to Manchester in the UK, using speedtest.
When I do a pingtest to the same location, it tags my line quality as C, with no packet loss and 5ms jitter.
A telkom technician came out yesterday to check my line and he said it's better than normal, in terms of noise and quality, but he said that the "main exchange" in the Douglasdale area in Johannesburg (where I live) has got faulty cards and that a few people have been complaining about speed issues in my area.
He also said that it might take up to a week to fix.
Is he BSing me and is anyone else, maybe in my area experiencing the same?
