It looks like its a NEMA Twist-Lock connector: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NEMA_connector#Twist-locking_connectors
Its an American standard so it should be easy to find on a US electrical website. Doubt you'll find many people stocking them locally.

Nope I can take a photo after 7 if you want on a Yamaha generator(Hondas have them too). I think its mainly the smaller ones as that plug is rated to 30amps only.
I bought a 6KVA petrol standby generator and it came with this type of plug/socket. It has 2 sockets and I need a plug for the second socket.

Nope, same lock and twist plug as the OP.
Think it was on a Honda generator.
Always assumed it was a safety thing so it doesn't pull out as generators are by definition mobile.

Uhm...that will probably mean replacing half of it.
Finding these cables can't be too hard. Pretty sure you'll find them at Builders.
