Strange problem. Help?

Hey,

Past 2 days I have noticed something is not right with my line. As I lag easily in games when I have a small download going.

I started to realise none of my torrent downloads or anything else could exceed 50KB/sec.

I have a 4mbit line.

I have checked the modem and it says it is syncing fine:
Data Rate
4096 384 kbps

Downstream Upstream

I even went to the Telkom site and did their speed test, the test file you download the from the FTP, and it won't go over 50KB/sec.

How is this possible? Anyone experienced anything similar? Ideas?

And let me add, my line was down for 1 day. After it was reactivated this problem existed.

Hey Azul. I was whining on another thread that my line was a 4mb line until last week when Telkom "Fixed" a fault with my line and now it's a 2mb line. Goodness alone knows what the hell Telskum is up to at the moment. Where are you? I wonder if there isn't a problem with the backhaul bandwidth on your exchange? Good luck tho.
