I have got a bit of a weird one here.

Below is an exert from a Sip Trunk log :

<--- SIP read from UDP:41.193.38.17:5060 --->
SI▒2.0 200 OK
Via: SIP/2.0/UDP 196.x.1x0.xxx:5060;received=196.x.1x0.xxx;branch=z9hG4bK04a2325b;rport=65476
From: "Unknown" <sip:[email protected].1x0.xxx>;tag=as5e6342bd
To: <sip:41.193.38.17>;tag=SDag4qc99-5evj7dmg3zjaxy2s
Call-ID: [email protected].1x0.xxx:5060
CSeq: 102 OPTIONS
Accept: application/sdp
Allow: INVITE, ACK, BYE, CANCEL, INFO, SUBSCRIBE, NOTIFY, REFER, MESSAGE, OPTIONS
Server: PortaSIP
Content-Length: 0

What would cause SI▒2.0 200 OK to not receive correctly ?

Looks like you got a 200 there, do you have the full call set up trace and more detail as to what/where it is failing?
What codecs are negotiated in the invite?

The above is the last piece of data I receive from VOX before the in house server transmits the first request.

Funny thing is that when I try the connection through another ISP, the SIP trunk registers with out any issues and the trace does not contain the "glitch".

Does VOX have a persistent SIP trunk, sorry I'm more on the enterprise side of VOIP and have no idea how VOX set up their home solutions. So they sent the 200 and then call fails or you cannot initiate a call with an Invite?

I am a NOOB at this so forgive my ignorance, if I compare the working trace to the non working trace, the non working one never uses "Reliably Transmitting" when it sends data, just Retransmitting.

I don't think that the FreePbx server on my side is receiving the information that it has to in order to carry on registering the SIP account. I also never see "Responding to challenge, registration to domain/host name" in the non working trace.
