Hi guys, I need a little help here. For about 3 weeks now my PC has been booting up strangely. I push the power button and it starts up but all my fans in the PC, Including CPU and Graphics card(sounds like a rocket about to take off) spin up to full speed.

It restarts, restarts, restarts, restarts(sorry :p). Then after those 4 restarts it 'calms' down and nothing..it's running but no POST Screen or anything. Just sits idling. Then I have to push the restart button and it'll spin up again and then only go to POST etc. It's driving me flipping insane.

I went searching online for an answer but I couldn't find anything really concrete. People where saying it's lack of power from the PSU or the PSU has become faulty, RAM has gone faulty, CPU needs new thermal paste, the computer is warming up by doing this(wth?) and other problems. So as you can see I don't really know.

Has anyone ever had this issue before? and knows how to solve it? My PC specs are in my sig. It's happened a few times last year sometime but eventually disappeared and wasn't as bad as now. It's every time I start up.

Thanks guys.:)

Could be those 2. Check them out and let us know

I had this same problem then a month later my motherboard died. Also thought it was ram or power supply at first.

Have you been overclocking?

I know if my pc does not like my OC it restarts over and over until i remove the power cord.

Oh great. That's all I need. I never did like BioStar. Lucky it's still under warranty. I really hope that it isn't going to fry on me though.:(

Nope no overclocking. Everything is at defaults. :o

Update:

Well I still haven't solved this issue yet. I've added new thermal paste and checked to see if there was any faulty RAM. Still the same issue. It seems to happen like say when I switch off for the night and turn on in the morning that it does it.

So today I decided to try without the graphics card, it seemed to startup fine without it. I wonder if the card isn't faulty or if there isn't enough power going to it? I'm sure a 720w Gigabyte PSU should be enough?

I wish I had a answer. :/

It's enough but is it functioning properly?

Try another PSU as I think that is where your problem lies. Or you could try the gfx card in another pc first just to make sure.

Well I took out my PSU, Put in a Coolermaster 650w I had which I bearly used. I also took out a RAM chip which I thought might be a problem.

All seemed to be working fine, was booting normally. Then this morning..same thing happens. Computer was cold, did its restart bs. :(

So now I'm guessing it's either the graphics card or motherboard..
