I have this 2000VA Eaton UPS which does exactly what I want but now since upgrading my PSU ive noticed something odd.

In the Eaton App I can live view the output watts, it was about 96W on idle during loadshedding.

Now that I got a new PSU, the watts double during loadshedding when PC is on idle.

It would say 114w before loadshedding but jumps to 200w during loadshedding doing the exact same task as when it was on 114w.

PSU change: 850W 80+ Silver (11 Year old Xigmatek Vector S) to brand new 850W 80+ Gold (Superflower Leadex III)

:unsure::unsure:

Doesn't make sense to me.

It could be the efficiency. The gold rating only applies when the load is at 60-70% of its capacity. The lower the load the worse the efficiency.

I believe that at less than 200W the efficiency is at 80% instead of the the 90-95% with these PSU's (I use these PSU's in my mining rigs so I have some experience with them)

EDIT: Found the efficiency curve for your PSU

Looking at the numbers, it looks like something is up with your PC or PSU....
