Finn Wolfhard: Stranger Things Season 4 ‘Hopefully’ Out in 2022

Stranger Things Season 4 should “hopefully” be out next year according to star Finn Wolfhard. Filming of the next installment in the popular Netflix series has been delayed due to the pandemic and Season 3 came out in 2019, which will mark around two years between seasons. There was a similar gap between Season 2 and 3, so this isn’t totally uncalled for.

However, the news does come with a caveat due to the pandemic. “There are very few dates that are reliable,” Matarazzo told a fan via Fanmio video call. “[With the COVID-19 pandemic], we still don’t know day-to-day if we’re gonna be filming next week … There’s really no way to figure out when we’re gonna be wrapping.”

They take too long to release seasons. The appeal is lost, they're not kids anymore. It's now just another high school / young adult thing...

Agreed, 2 years is a long time and people have already moved on.
 
Another series that's not going to hit the heights it did, it's been almost 3 years now.
